205 Snow Globe

205 Snow Globe

Seeing snow on the cars this morning reminded me of when I used to drive back to London from Leicestershire in the very early hours of the morning in my little Peugeot 205. I’d sometimes stop for a nap if tiredness beaconed, but the first time I did this I hadn’t realised how cold a car got in winter with the engine off. Waking-up shivering with ice on the inside of the windscreen was not pleasant! The next trip I went prepared with a sleeping bag. However, sleeping on the back seat with my feet under the front passenger seat I was unaware the sleeping bag had snagged on the seat mechanism and had released some of its contents. Unaware, that is, until summer when I put the air blowers on maximum, at which point my car became a giant snow globe with flurries of goose down swirling around me!

Green Tack

Green Tack

Following on from ‘Purest Green’, I have found a commercial application for my invention: Green Tack.

Purest Green

Purest Green

In true Load Percy of Blackadder style, I have invented purest green. Unfortunately it is the by-product of a cold.

Nee-Nah, Nee-Nah!!!

Nee-Nah, Nee-Nah!!!

Vice Squad.
Nothing more to be said :-)

Holding Mass

Holding Mass

Are you fed-up with all the hype about the new pope, Francis, and his holding mass on Sunday? If so, here’s a secular alternative: a photo of me holding a 500 gram calibration mass. I use it to check my kitchen scales and, rather ironically, I usually hold my mass on Sunday’s, too ;-)

Sphygmomanometric Ramblings

Sphygmomanometric Ramblings

It’s amazing the difference the time of day and circumstances can make to bodily parameters. Three weeks ago, at the end of the day after work and a trip round the M25, at a check-up at the doctors my blood pressure  was too high. At a follow-up check this morning, being nice and relaxed having gone straight to the doctors from home before work, my blood pressure is back to normal – hurrah!
